Introduction

In 1953, Department of Human Development & Family Studies was founded under the name of Home Economics until 1966. The major objectives of the department are to prepare professionals, and teachers of secondary school. In 1982, The Master’s Degree Program was set up, and the Doctoral Program was set up afterwards in 1996. The Undergraduate Program includes three major fields-- Family Life Education, Early Childhood Development & Education and Nutritional Science & Education. The Master’s Degree Program includes three major fields-- Family Life Education, Early Childhood Development & Education, and Nutritional Science & Education. The Doctoral Program includes four major fields-- Family Life Education, Early Childhood Development & Education, Nutritional Science & Education, and Hospitality Management & Education.
